If your not early, you’re late! Give yourself enough time to sign into Wodify, get your workout equipment on and warm up before class. Being late is disrespectful to coaches, and interrupts your fellow class members.
Put away all your equipment, stack the boxes & Kettlebells neatly, put the bars back in the racks and stack the plates in correct order. Clean up your sweat, handprints, blood and puke! Don’t spit on our floor…. EVER. Pick up your used tape, clickers, chalk, water bottles and sweaty clothes. Remember there are classes after yours.
Safety first, somewhere a high school kid is warming up with your PB! Accidents and injuries can happen, they are more prone to happen as a result of impatience and ignorance, so leave your ego at the door. Slow down, ask questions and ask for help.
Drop bars, plates and Kettlebells as LAST RESORT. Put things down gently. Dropping weights should be a necessity, not a convenience. Bumper plates are designed for emergency dropping, not dropping after every rep on Fran! ALWAYS keep your weights under control and NEVER drop an empty barbell. Our equipment was expensive so please respect it.
For newbies, make sure you stay consistent. For oldies, don’t start thinking it’s okay to do your own thing whenever you want. No matter how experienced you are, you still need coaching and can still stand to work on the basics. If you have extra things you’re working on feel free to come early or stay after class.
Anything less is to cheat yourself of the experience, rob others of the gift of your presence and support as part of the CrossFit Inventive Community. We see each other as family and we are all here for the same reasons.
