🍑INGREDIENTS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 3 medium peaches⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Pinch nutmeg (optional) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 3 tbsp. butter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1️⃣Preheat oven to 325°. Halve peaches and remove pits, then place cut side up in a medium baking dish.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣In a small bowl, whisk to combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, if using. Sprinkle mixture over cut side of each peach. Cut butter into 3 evenly sized tablespoons, then halve each piece. Place a pat of butter in center of each peach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

👏🏼 In everything we do in life I believe we are either “interested” or “committed” think about it... your nutrition- are you just interested in making a change or are you COMMITTED to making that change? Your fitness... are you just “interested” in getting fit or are you COMMITTED? Your relationships... are you just “interested” in having relationships or are you COMMITTED?

👌🏼 This comparison of 2 simple words truly resonated with me because I can totally relate...
.
👉🏼 In September last year I was “Interested” in making a change to my nutrition. I made excuses as to why I was “too busy” to food prep. Being a mum, a step mum, a business owner and also working part time at the airport my excuse was I just didn’t have time... so I was “interested” in making this change... not yet committed
.
🤩 We started @nickknowsprograms after our family holiday to NZ which the amazing Nick provides meal plans. All the prepping is on us though so it was time to ditch the excuses and COMMIT
.
💜 I soon found because I shifted my mindset and became committed to making this a priority I had PLENTY of time to food prep!
.
🤰🏻 I’ve had to have a short break due to cooking our little man but I honestly can not wait to get back on that bandwagon and be totally COMMITTED AGAIN
.

“5 years ago at age 41, I went through a very difficult divorce. Working 3 jobs and trying to raise 3 boys, I had stopped playing team sports and had very little time for myself. I was drinking about 10 beers every night, even more on the weekends and was smoking about a packet of cigarettes a day. I was heavily depressed and although I was a member of a 24 hour gym, I found it hard to be consistent and motivated
.
I was losing muscle, gaining fat and the smallest amount of physical activity left me out of breath. I had become that middle aged guy with a typical dad bod. I was desperate for change! I had heard lots of talk about CrossFit (mostly negative) but was reassured by mates I played rugby with back in the day that Crossfit Inventive was exactly what I needed
.
Moving back into the area, I decided to give CFi a go and have not looked back since
.
What I discovered was a place where EVERYBODY is welcome and treated equally, no matter what age or what fitness level or ability. CrossFit allows you to achieve your own goals, whilst being encouraged by like minded people and coaches who are at the top of their field
.
Jase, Tash and the team of coaches at CFi are simply amazing! They are there for each and every client along the way to achieving their individual fitness goals and even for support during unexpected life challenges outside the gym
.
I haven’t smoked a cigarette since joining CFi just over 3 years ago and last year I competed in the Masters HQ Crossfit online competition representing CFi. I went on to win the state finals and represented NSW at the National titles in Brisbane where I came first in Australia for my age division. It was one of the toughest things I have ever done but something I will remember for the rest of my life

💙 I will admit (proudly admit) we make a good team. @jase_hebbs is the risk taker, the dreamer & the main face of our business- together we’ve never given up

🙅🏻‍♀️ We haven’t been “lucky” & it hasn’t been easy- there’s been tears, disagreements, failures, stress, long hours, no cash flow & uncertainty
.
🥰 But we’ve had faith. Faith in our beliefs and faith in each other which combined with everything below the surface of the iceberg, ultimately I guess has lead to us to Success

“I was on the downhill run- 54 & 20kgs overweight. I was lacking in strength and vitality and was unmotivated. I lacked the drive- damn menopause!Whilst I had no diagnosis of a medical condition my lower back was weak and vulnerable. I had to “watch it”. Any sudden movement or high impact movements would send momentary painful spasms shooting through my lower spine. My blood pressure and cholesterol were creeping up to levels where medications would be need to be implemented
.
My children told me “CrossFit is for you mum.” I told them “Don’t be ridiculous, you have to be fit for CrossFit and besides it’s all squats and I HATE SQUATS!
.
In 2015 I decided to look into it more and came across Jase & Tash from CrossFit Inventive. They assured me they would modify the workouts for me & scale to my ability, CrossFit Inventive quickly became apart of my daily morning routine
.
I started out not being able to do anything at all high impact- even shuttle runs had to be shuttle walks because of my back. My squat consisted of me having a slight bend in my knees and the most I could lift was maximum 5kgs on a bar. Just 4 months into my new fitness journey- I WAS doing high impact exercise, my back has not had one single problem, my blood pressure and cholesterol are within normal limits & my strength has returned! I can now lift things in the house and garden that I couldn’t before
.
Jason’s (head coach) expertise and years of experience with physical well being is evident. I quickly learn’t to trust his coaching capabilities as I soon realised he knew how my body worked and how it would respond. He knows when to introduce me to a new skill and knows when to keep my focused on my current form
.
My goal when I first commenced was to just walk through the doors at CrossFit Inventive every morning… I succeeded, I am 20kgs lighter, feeling much stronger & fitter & finally I have my motivation back- It feels good, really good!
.
The encouragement and friendliness from my fellow CrossFitter’s at CFi has been an added bonus to the whole experience. I’ve made life long friends"

🍫INGREDIENTS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - 8 ounces pitted medjool dates (1 cup packed dates)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 1 cup roasted cashews⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 3/4 cup tahini⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 12 ounces dark chocolate⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
toasted sesame seeds, or dried fruits, for topping (optional)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“I started at CrossFit Inventive in July 2017, doing PT sessions with Tash. My daughter was 5 months old at the time and I was initially mindful of her disrupting others at the gym – I needn’t have worried as Jase & Tash created such a welcoming and friendly environment for both myself & Lucy, I was soon going 1-2 times a week with Lucy in tow, and she now accompanies me to almost every session!

I am now attending at least 3-4 classes a week and loving it. I was initially very wary of CrossFit, as I had heard that it could be dangerous with little focus on proper form.
